Follow my visual journey.

I was born in Waterville, New York in 1959. A instinctive painter since childhood, I have been exploring the encaustic medium and other ancient media for about forty years. I graduated Cum Laude with a B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from Tyler School of Art in 1982. My work has shown at Gross McCleaf Gallery, Blue Heron Gallery, the Marshall Gallery, Church Street Gallery, Kerygma, the Museum of Encaustic Art, and formerly Rosenfeld in Philadelphia as well as Art Nou Mil-Lenni Gallery in Barcelona, Spain. Several public and private collections hold my paintings, including University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Fidelity Bank of Delaware, PECO, Cozen O’Connor Law Firm, Vanguard Investment Group, Rutgers University Museum, among others. I taught as an adjunct professor at Arcadia University and enjoy holding workshops at the International Encaustic Conference, The Encaustic Center, R&F Paints, and the Federation of Canadian Artists in Calgary, Canada. My work has appeared in numerous magazine and book publications. My wife and I have two sons both recently married, and we currently reside outside Philadelphia with our Springer Spaniel, Remy, where we carry out my practice as a team.
